Junior Social Media Manager

Salary: R4,000 per month
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract
Probation: 3-month probation period
Location: Remote (occasional in-person meetings required)

Kasi Apologetics is looking for a Junior Social Media Manager to maintain and grow our social media presence across multiple platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is creative, organised, self-motivated, and passionate about communicating the Christian faith through digital media.

The position is primarily remote. However, occasional in-person attendance will be required for podcasts, conferences, content creation, and team meetings.

Essential Requirements

* Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
* Ability to write engaging social media posts and captions.
* Basic graphic design skills.
* Ability to edit short-form videos using applications such as CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar software.
* Excellent written English. Knowledge of isiZulu, Sesotho, or isiXhosa will be an advantage.
* Passion for Christian apologetics and agreement with the Kasi Apologetics Statement of Faith.
* Reliable, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
* A self-starter who can work independently.
* A creative eye for engaging digital content.

Responsibilities

* Plan and publish 4–7 social media posts per week across all Kasi Apologetics platforms.
* Coordinate with the graphics team by preparing requests for artwork, videos, copy, and other promotional content.
* Create promotional campaigns for conferences, podcasts, events, and ministry initiatives.
* Edit short video clips from talks, podcasts, and interviews into engaging reels, shorts, and TikTok videos.
* Respond to comments and direct messages where appropriate.
* Grow our online audience and improve engagement across all platforms.
* Work closely with the Kasi Apologetics team to promote conferences, podcasts, articles, and other ministry resources.
* Produce a monthly report outlining audience growth, engagement, reach, and content performance.
* Work alongside our web developers to ensure the Kasi Apologetics website remains current, relevant, and user-friendly.
